Tagua Tagua

This project marks my third creative collaboration with Tagua Tagua, a partnership that has grown into one of my most rewarding professional relationships. Once again, I had the pleasure of working alongside album art director, João Lauro, interpreting his meticulously crafted visual universe into motion. This time the project came with an added challenge: an even tighter deadline, which required smart solutions.

Facing such compressed production timeline, we made the strategic decision to incorporate stock footage, a first for this series. The real creative puzzle became how to make these external elements feel inherently part of Tagua Tagua’s world. Through careful color grading with custom LUTs and thoughtfully designed transitional choreography, we achieved seamless integration that maintained the project’s distinctive aesthetic integrity.

The video’s impact extended far beyond its initial release. Selected sequences were adapted as Spotify Canvas loops, giving the album tracks new visual dimension. Most excitingly, we’re now developing customised motion loops from this work to serve as dynamic stage backdrops for Tagua Tagua’s 2025 global tour including being the opening act for White Denim.
